Freeloading Like A Boss

Once in a while a product comes which I think is pretty awesome.  Angel Craft has some self adhesive vinyl in some really awesome colors. I was able to obtain some 6×6 and 12×12 squares through Amazon.

These are made specifically for the Cricit machine, but most of my crafting friends say these will work in other machines as well.  So I did what any good wife would do when she has the chance.  I kicked my manly husband square in the teeth.  I created  freeloadinghouswife.com in bright pink colors.

When the weather clears up from the hail storm we had today

I’ll be putting this on the rear window of our four wheel drive.  It’s a wonderful feeling knowing will be driving around with hot pink letters on the window.

I was able to purchase this product through Amazon and you can also.  I was able to do so for a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.  I have no relationship with the seller and I received no compensation.  To see the end result follow me on social media.

Why Links Are Important

Being a freeloading housewife isn’t always easy.  I’m passionate about the things I can get for free.  I’m not a fan of spending a certain amount of money and get free shipping. If I have to pay shipping for something I want, I’ll buy it off of Amazon and use my prime account.

Sharing links and getting people to sign up for them is important if you want the best free stuff.  I feel sorry for my husband. I make him sign up for stuff, too.  My last post was about spinning to win with an app called Qrikit. For every person that signs up for Qrikit using my link, I earn $1.  My husband signed up and he can earn his own money by spinning.  I can cash out to my paypal account when my balance hits $25.00 and so can my husband.  That’s $50 every 6 weeks or so depending on if you remember to spin.  It takes less than 10 minutes a day.  My friends sign up, but my readers don’t.  It’s something I don’t understand. I earn nearly $100 a month in Amazon gift cards from all kinds of places and share them with my readers.

For some link sharing, there is something you must do in order for me to gain something. I always explain that when it applies.  Surveys are an easy way to earn money during down time like waiting in the doctors office or watching a movie your husband wants to watch and you don’t. It doesn’t take any time at all.  I also earn $1 just for you signing up.  Earn 50 points and you can cash out for a $5 Amazon gift card or save up 100 points for $100 via PayPal or an iTunes gift card.

Send me an email at FreeLoadingHousewife@gmail.com (if I open the link for you on my blog it’s considered phishing and I don’t want that) with your referral links for anything and everything.  Let me know if you just need me to sign up to earn or if I need to do something, such as make a purchase.  Also let me know if you blog and your blog link.  I will not share your information with anyone. I wouldn’t even know how.  If I like the link and use it, I’ll share the information with my readers and give an honorable mention to your blog.

Free Logos For Everyone

image

I have tried for weeks to make my own  logo, but that’s beyond my technology skills.  It also tests the limits of my patience – and my medication. In addition to this blog I started Free Loading Housewife After Dark.  It’s a sexual wellness blog.  It’s still under construction.  The main purpose of that blog is to open dialogue about sex, the problems, the joys, frustration and solutions that result in overcoming coitus dissatisfaction.  When I set it up and purchased my domain name, I got an email from a company offering to do a logo for me at no charge. Free works for me.  I’m pretty much a save money just about any way I can find a way to save it gal.  So I filled out the forms and questionnaires.

Logo Designers Online will offer a free logo. No strings attached.  If you want the digital form – like the vector file for you techno geeks that understand all of that – it will cost a little bit. $25.00 I think.  It’s your logo. No one can take it from you.

I have a lot of friends who blog, own their own business, have nicknames or whatever. If you’ve been thinking about a simple logo, I highly recommend this process. Their customer service is great. Turn around time is fast.  So go give them a visit. I don’t get a commission. I don’t have any relationship with them and didn’t even know who they were until I received an email from them.

What – and why – Do I Review

When I first started this journey I would choose things that were something I would have ordinarily purchased.  Requesting a product to review that I wanted or needed didn’t subtract from the overall household budget.  Now that I have earned some gift cards doing basically nothing, I can request to review just about any product I want. If you haven’t read my previous posts on how to earn gift cards take the time to do that now. You won’t regret it.  Since January I have earned well over $100.00 in gift cards.  Sometimes the items I choose to review are free.  More often they are between 90-100% off.   I have many different review sites that offer an assortment of free or greatly reduced prices.  If you’re interested in getting started, Review Gurus is the place to start. There are people there who can help you.  Amazon Prime is a must or you’ll get killed in shipping fees.

One of the most recent product I received to review was an 18″ Massage Stick Roller by Live Infinitely.  It has a stainless steel core that can be used as a personal weapon of defense if I’m ever accosted on my way in or out of an exercise establishment.  There are some parts of the body I can’t reach on my own with this massage stick.  I can do my legs and neck alone. I need help for my back and shoulders.  I have range of motion issues in my left arm.  The next time I go to physical therapy I’m taking this with me so Ashley can use it on me.

image.jpeg

The Live Infinitely Massage Stick has ergonomically designed hand grips which is great for my arthritis.  It’s much easier to hold onto than some massagers designed in a similar manner.  I can use it before or after physical therapy.  If I use it before I go for walks I find there’s less muscle burn going up steep hill.  I live in semi mountainous region.  My driveway is pure hell on the quads.

If you’re man has a hairy back, I’m going to suggest you take him to a spa and have that baby waxed.  The durable rollers are sectioned.  That hair is going to get pinched or pulled. However, if you’re into a small amount of sadism or he’s into a small amount of masochism, more power to you.  Enjoy.

This is just one of the nicer products I have received for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.  I have no relationship with the seller. I don’t get compensated for doing the review either.  What I have shared with you on this post is basically what would be required of you if you wanted to start review products.

If you’re interested in purchasing this Live Infinitely 18″ Massage Stick Roller , they’re sold on Amazon for under $20.00.

Get … Paid To Take Surveys

Today, we’re going to talk about surveys. I think I tried probably 30 or more websites that offered some sort of incentive to take surveys. Most of them sent me spiraling into a loop of never-ending virtual ridiculousness. Several required registration for other websites. Some were willing to give you something for free in order to register but expected to pay $5.99 in shipping. To me, free means $0.00. There are no exceptions to this in my mind.

There are a few legitimate companies out there where you can earn a little bit of something for participating in survey. It won’t allow you to quit your day job or become rich. You need to be capable of multitasking to do them. Some of them are extremely long. I usually do them while catching up with recordings of murder and mayhem on my DVR But they do pay. FusionCash is one of them.  I currently have earned $7.23 in less than two weeks.  There are upwards of almost 10 different ways to earn if you’re willing to spend time on their website.  It’s USD and not virtual currency.  There are also bonuses to be earned.  Earn $1 when a referral confirms their email, $2 when they complete a Paid to Sign Up offer, and $5 each time they are approved for cashout – for life.  There is a cash out limit of $15 that must be earned from non-bonuses.

Harris Rewards is another one. They are set up on a system of virtual currency that can be exchanged for gift cards. The upshot to that is an app called Raise which I talked about in another blog post. Take those gift cards you don’t need and exchange them for ones you do need thereby converting virtual currency into a grocery store gift card. But there’s no referral link. Just register your account. You can exchange 625 points for a $5 Amazon gift card. After 2 weeks, I have 485 points. If you don’t qualify for a survey, you can still earn HIpoints and are earn a sweepstakes entry to win who knows what.  I’m only a couple of points away from earning a gift card.

CashCrate is another one. After a couple of weeks, I only have $1.56 balance.  It’s legitimate money, not virtual currency.  They cut checks on the 20th of every month with a minimum $20.00 withdrawal.   There are also points you can earn by playing games. Two hundred and fifty points will get you a $10 Amazon gift card. There are a variety of ways to earn money on their site. There’s incentives for referrals. I earn when you earn, and you earn when your friends earn.

MySoapBox is another one I use.  I have a little over 3,500 points with them.  You need at least 25,000 before you can start redeeming points. I have a ways to go before I get anywhere near that level. They will send you an email reminding you to take a survey. Since I’m still too new, at this time I’m unable to tell you what the points to dollar ratio works out to, but I will keep you posted.

So the money is out there. You just have to be willing to do a little bit of extra work to get it. Some people may enjoy taking surveys and playing games. It will be an added benefit to earn something for doing it.

Being a free loading housewife is more about saving money than making money. Or more specifically to my case, trying to find money in odd places. I also do a lot of trading. Most recently I traded a cast iron boiler for a handheld planer and a drill bit sharpener, both of which my father in law or husband wanted.  I didn’t actually pay cash for them.  I don’t spend money to flip something.  That totally goes against my nature and self-discipline.  I still have a chair I paid $1 for at a rummage sale last summer that I had plans to redo.  I would have been better off buying a Dr. Pepper with my dollar bill.

Once upon a time someone asked me what I did for a living. Where do you work? Do you work outside the home. I don’t remember exactly the question.  It was a simple enough question. Most people are nosy and ask questions that are generally none of their business. I could be considered on of those people. My answer to this question was simple. I don’t work. I didn’t at the time the question was asked and have worked very little in terms of years during my 18 year marriage. His response was to call me a freeloader. He wouldn’t ever have a wife that wouldn’t pull her own weight.  That was most likely the reason at 37, he was still single.  There is nothing free about being a housewife doing your best to keep your man happy, the house clean and your children cared for. He was serious in his question and insulting in his response to my answer. However, after all was said and done, my husband found humor in the situation. The angrier I got, the funnier he thought it was.  So know when someone asked me what I do for a living, I proudly say my I’m a free loading housewife. One lady even went so far as to ask me did my husband want another wife.

For the ladies out there that want what I have, which is simply the ability to stay home doing pretty much what I want to do when I want to do it while my man is at work, my hope for you would be to read what I write and really listen to the context of my words. Staying at home, either by choice or necessity, isn’t always easy. I did it by choice for several years, and now I do it out of necessity. I had a job I enjoyed but I had to take three weeks off from work to keep my husband’s daddy out of the hospital. There are ways to be a free loading housewife (or househusband) without starving to death or becoming dependent upon government assistance.

If this is your first introduction to my Freeloading Housewife blog, please read some of the other entries. As always, I welcome your comments.  Feel free to comment with your referral links.  I’ll check them out.

All About FreeLoading

There are companies, apps, products and gift cards just begging for someone to claim them. I research them and let you know which ones work. I’ll warn you about scams and educate you on ways you can earn from home. You won’t get rich but it’s just possible you can become a freeloading housewife, or even house husband, just like me. There are so many things I like to share. I plan on sharing them here because my family is tired of listening to me talk about the same things all the time.

www.freeloadinghousewife.com

I’m official. I feel like doing a happy dance. I have my own domain name. That’s a pretty big deal. Now all that’s left is to write interesting topics people want to read about. I’m not sure how many people are going to want to read about the things I find interesting. My husband continuously asks me if I can think of something else to discuss when I get on a roll or excited about some new discovery.

Take this journey with me. Be excited with me. The future is going to hold a few different things for us as a family. We’re looking into an Etsy store so any advice you may have, please feel free to share. I’ll be posting product reviews for some of my most favorite items I’ve received to test. I’ll be posting some affiliate links to sell something, although I have no idea what it’s going to be at this point. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share those too. I have a YouTube Channel for which I haven’t posted a single video on yet. I’m actually terrified to do something like that.

I’m so excited on so many different levels I don’t know where to start. I need to take a deep breath and come up with a game plan. My husband laughed at me when I told him I was too busy working today to help him paint. He just doesn’t understand the fine nuances to freeloading.  I have had a rather busy day so I’m going to keep this post short. It won’t happen often so appreciate the novelty while it lasts.

While you’re waiting for my next blog post, send me an email. Tell me how you want to save money, or even earn money. I want you to be involved in the process. I will admit I have an ulterior motive. I’ll be using your questions as topics.
